This book SUCKS LEMONS ! ! ! I tried one recipe I really want to make. The first time I used my bread machine to make the dough. That was a disaster ! Threw the dough in the trash. The second time I followed the recipe to the letter. That is when I realized that there were 2 ingredients listed in the Ingredients, that was not included in the Directions. Total Disaster! Who ever wrote this book should pay attention to their work.I would never ever buy another book written by Echo Bay Books. Even if it was not a cookbook!!!!! I am actually angry that someone would even publish this book. I think Amazon should remove this book from their Books Dept. ! ! ! ! I only paid $1.07 for this book which included the tax...8 cents. This book is not worth 10 cents!

This book would be fantastic recipe book for breads if it wasn't for some errors. The recipe was for Italian Herb Boule and it said to bake 10-15 minutes. In the Banana Bread it said something about the zucchini. There is no mention of the zucchini in the ingredients. Proof reading recipes is so important when writing a recipe book. I'm afraid to make some of these breads for fear of the mistakes. It book was free but the ingredients are not.
I refer to this book frequently. There are twenty two different recipes for a nice variety.
I have modified some to make breads that I want to try but didn't have a good recipe to use.
You can be assured that this Echo bread cookbook will be a welcome addition to your collection.
Although this was not presented as such it was a book for beginners. I didn't find one recipe that I couldn't wait to try.
Homemade bread is a good way to stretch your food budget.
Loved reading the recipes in this book. I read them all from cover-to-cover and bookmarked almost all of them to try. All the recipes were easy to read and seem very easy to follow and even adaptable for those who are more experienced or adventurous.
I have tried more than half of the recipes in this book. Other than needing to adjust the amount of flour in several of the breads the actual recipes were great and the breads delicious. I would have given five stars but found some typos and the nutritional info did not give the serving size for the calories listed. I am glad I purchased this book and will continue to enjoy the recipes.
I found this book to be very useful in making and learning how to create delicious bread. I am a novice and just beginning to bake, and I would recommend this book wholeheartedly to those just starting out. It is clear and concise and the tips in the forward were very useful as well. The only drawback is there are no pictures in a step-by-step format and I think that could be helpful. So if you want a concise starter book with a wide variety of breads to choose from then this is the book for you.
When I downloadeded this, I was looking for other recipes that I could also try with my bread maker. As I skimmed through this,
I found mostly basic recipes that I already had and already tried from some other recipe books. The recipes here looked simple
enough and I'm sure they are most likely delicious. Because I have not actually tried any of the recipes, I do not feel qualified to rate
it's content fairly, therefore because they insist on a rating, I will give it a 3 star.
